2021 EQUALITEA PARTIES

  • January 20 - Commissioner Macker and Jen Simon, cofounders of the Wyoming Women's Action Network, watched the inauguration and chatted about the policies we are most excited about.

  • March 23 - Commissioner Macker was joined by Eden Morris for an exciting Empowerment Hour with uplifting discussion on how we can support each other in our quest to empower women everywhere.

2020 EQUALITEA PARTIES

  • May 11 - On May 11 one hundred years ago, Jackson elected an all-women Town Council. We gathered virtually to discuss what the recipe for equality in political representation looks like today. This included striving for gender parity in the legislature, a woman in the White House, supporting more women running for office, and helping young women build leadership skills.

  • June 10 - An EqualiTEA Party to mark the anniversary of the passage of the Equal Pay Act on June 10, 1963. Broadcasting from ROAM Mercantile, the discussion focused on the gender wage gap, action we can take in Wyoming, and how we can support woman-owned businesses.

  • July 10 - An EqualiTEA Party to mark Wyoming’s Statehood Day when Wyoming joined the Union in 1890 with the Wyoming Constitution recognizing women’s right to vote. The discussion focused on the importance of women exercising their right to vote, the work we still have to do, and what we need to do to ensure voting in 2020.

  • August 26 - A Toast to Tenacity in honor of the centennial of the enactment of the 19th Amendment. We celebrated while looking ahead to the work that remains to fully realize the dream of suffrage for all women.

  • October 15 - An EqualiTEA Party with the Wyoming Women's Action Network, on the UN's International Day of Rural Women discussing legislative priorities for the Equality State in 2021.
